Since day one of Trump I've predicted his mafia would try to bend the US officer corps (USOC) to its will by every means. Yes, I speak often about blackmail, which is standard for all but a few GOP politicians. But they are stymied by the professionalism and sagacity of the USOC. And hence, in Trump#2 one of the first things they did was fire almost all of the JAGs who can advise officers about illegal orders. Now it's up to the courageous to STAY at their posts and demand a court martial! Hegs won't dare!

*** Californians: Here's a ballot recommendation list that I trust. Plus two points:
1. All of the state-level judges were appointed by Jerry Brown or by Newsom. August and sagacious professionals who show just how diametrically opposite the parties have become.
2. I agree with Newsom that Proposition 40 - the Billionaire Wealth Tax - is flawed. It shows no flexibility to prevent the zillionaires from simply leaving. Nevertheless i'll vote yes on 40 for one reason, in order to fire a shot over the moguls' bows and get them to negotiate.
Actually, passing 40 won't matter that much. What matters far more is to defeat 41 & 42! If those pass, zillionaires will NEVER negotiate!
* And disease! Correlation is not causation. But Covid hit while Trump (at-best) fumbled. Now? Measles, Dengue, Screw-worm, and literally a dozen other infectious plagues that had been driven out of the USA are swarming back while the Foxites slash the CDC and all our other health and emergency services. And POLIO was on the ropes, nearly extinct... till resurging where US efforts were sabotaged under Trump. This takes very special stoopid. Or else sabotage.

It's up to them whether the coming Appomattox will end this nasty 9th phase of the recurring, 248 year US Civil War with calmness and "malice toward none," which we will do, if the travesties and betrayals stop.
(Let's be clear. If America - the blue/sanity - wins, reds can count on our resumed generosity. If they win this phase solidly, I will be dead within a year and 1930s Germany will commence, as explicitly planned by Project 2025.)
But nothing will stop that word coming true, one way or another. We will not go back to 6000 years of cruel, unsapient feudalism. (Hear that, oligarchs? Even your "Event" will turn our rage upon every 'hidden' prepper fortress.*)

For myself, I go with 'Natural Intelligence', particularly after Google got caught destroying some Finnish shrubbery.
Whenever I see the term 'Natural Intelligence', I feel physical pain. It takes me back to my stroke recovery days and the multiple mountains I had to climb.
Also, although not Finnish, I am a tree hugger (grew up in the Boreal Outback).

Not quite. The Republican Party uses anti-anti-Semitism an an excuse to be openly antagonistic to Muslims, both here in the States and in the Middle East. That's not the same thing as being friendly to Jews. In fact, a large subset openly blames Israel for tricking us into wars, and not only the current one in Iran.
Republicans opposed Truman helping to birth Israel. They ran the country clubs and civic orgs that excluded Jews. The Bush family is a cadet branch of the Saudi Royal House, using our military as sepoy troops for the ones who fill every Arab textbook and kid-show with vows of death to all Jews. So... no.
As for the subset of Israel support by US Fundies, we're perfectly aware of the reason. They want the Temple rebuilt so the world can end and 99% of Jews will then go to Hell. Get bent, loopy...

Whatever you have heard, there is nothing about a special police activity in Poland in the main media, so please provide a source.
Note that in the border regions both the Brandenburg state police and the Polish police have formed mutual patrol forces in the past, so maybe that is what Locum has stumbled over.
The only noteworthy news from Poland is that Tusk has deposed the Polish Supreme court, and created both a constitutional crisis as well as protests.

We have a large number of parties - the right-wing idiots are in charge just now but we do hope to dump them
The main parties - National on the right and Labour on the left
One of the smaller parties - The Opportunity Party - has a lot of excellent ideas - but IMHO it is more important to get the right-wing idiots out of power so I will be voting Labour
Ideal would be a Labour/Green/Top coalition - Labour on its own has been too timid to make the larger changes needed
